NCDOT Requirements For
Students living in Bryson City, NC
To be eligible to register for a class session, you must be 14 years and 6 months old by the first day of class.
NC requires students under the age of 18
- to be actively seeking a high school diploma and be a resident of NC
- to complete a 30-hour driver education class
- to complete 6 hours of in-car instruction with a certified licensed instructor
- Schools may charge up to $65 for drivers education.

Exemption Test Study Session: October 22nd 3:15pm-6:15pm
DMV Eye Exam: October 22nd beginning at 3:15 pm
200 Question Exemption Test: October 26th beginning at 9:00am
30 hour Class: October 28th – November 8th 3:15 pm – 6:15 pm
this is a 2 week class held M-F afternoons
Location for all listed above will be in the high school cafeteria.
